17.04.2010 Miranda And Carrie Might Perform Together At The ACM's

According to a few blogs Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood might be singing a song together at the ACM's! Love both artists so I'm super excited!

Just learned that the Miranda/Carrie number I saw the stand-ins rehearsing before dinner is a cover of a John Fogerty song. And you might recall that Miranda Lambert at one point had a Fogerty cover in her set list. And you might be able to divine from that information what song she and Carrie are doing. And you might recall a little something about John Fogerty being a part of the show this year. And now your interest might be piqued.

Went out to grab a sandwich during more Brooks & Dunn action and came back to find the sparkly stand-ins pretending to be Miranda and Carrie Underwood, rockin’ out wordlessly as a band plays behind them.

16.04.2010 Miranda Lambert Will Create a 'Revolution' on the ACM Awards

Miranda Lambert goes into Sunday's ACM Awards with six nominations, including Top Female Vocalist. She is tied with label mate Carrie Underwood, who is also up for six awards. Lady Antebellum lead the list with seven.

The Texas native is once again up for Album of the Year for 'Revolution.' It's an award she won in 2008 for 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,' and one of the nominations she is most honored to receive. "We made it like a record," says Miranda. "We went in for a week and cut an album. We didn't go in for a day and cut a single or an album track or just a random song to stick somewhere at number seven. Every song matters. Every song is part of a picture, and if one's missing, the picture's not complete. This is really a piece of art, and I'm really proud of it."

Miranda's recent No. 1 song, 'White Liar,' is featured in three categories: Single, Song and Video of the Year. "It's definitely a song that I think is relatable and kind of a good-feelin' song, but also with a little bit of a cut to it," the singer-songwriter laughs. "That's what country music is. About lying and cheating and drinking and the Lord. That's what it is. That's what it's always been ... that's why I love country music." Miranda is also up for an award as a co-writer on the song.

Tune in to the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 18, to catch Miranda and many of your favorite country artists. The ACM Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas at 8:00 PM ET/(delayed PT) on CBS.

16.04.2010 Miranda Lambert Gifts Pink Guitar to Lucky Fan During Tour Stop

Miranda Lambert may very well take home the Top Female Vocalist prize at the 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards this Sunday night (airing live on CBS at 8 p.m./ET), but that doesn't mean she's slowing down.

The widely-hailed country diva, 26, decided to check in exclusively with UsMagazine.com from the road last month as she launched her first headlining Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour! And in case you’ve already missed her and supporting acts David Nail, James Otto, Randy Houser, and Wade Bowen already, click here to book a ticket to one of the upcoming dates. And keep your fingers crossed for the diva on Sunday night!

"Well, I'm finally here...The Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour. For 10 years I've always dreamed about headlining an arena, basically ever since I first started playing in bar bands, I always knew I could do it. The first stop we played [on March 18] was in in Beckley, WV and those dreams came true: WE SOLD IT OUT! Not bad for a first try, huh? I was so overwhelmed and overjoyed, I actually handed a kid in the crowd the brand new pink Gibson electric guitar I was playing. You never know what's gonna happen on these shows...I thought it was a great kickoff, even if I do have to go buy a new guitar.

As we are out on this tour, we're really trying first and foremost to give the fans the best show we can. We're trying some new things on stage -- you will have to come to the show to see what they are! We're going to play a couple songs acoustic with the full band each night and we're also going to bring back and re-work a lot of old stuff that people have been requesting over the last few years. It's such a great chance to do all the things that we've [thought of and said] "Man, that would be so cool if we..."

I couldn't believe the Beckley crowd. I can't believe the response we've gotten from all the fans buying tickets for the shows we have coming up. It's been amazing. The second night of the tour was in Duluth, GA (right outside of Atlanta) and we've had another sold out show! We wrapped that weekend in Orlando, FL and I have a couple days off before we head out again.

I can't wait to see what else this tour holds in store for me. James Otto was my special guest the first night and the 2nd weekend out was David Nail. I sang a song on David's record, a song called "Strangers on a Train." When he was out on the road with us, we did an acoustic version of it and it was fantastic as the crowd sang along. This tour has a different special guest out each week. I'm really looking forward to Eric Church, Chris Young, Jake Owen, and all the others who may drop in to play a few tunes. Keep on trucking. 16.04.2010 New Blog!

Miranda posted a new blog on her official website yesterday!

ACM Good Luck Charm? Meet "Cher"

It's ACM time again! Headed to Vegas this Sunday to be part of the show and I am super excited. I can't believe what an amazing year this has been already. With our first number one under our belt and a new single "House That Built Me", which is the fastest rising one to date, I have so much to celebrate. The video is out now and it is one of my favorite ones I have done. Trey Fanjoy produced it. We got to use some of my real home video footage from when I was little. Mom had a little cameo too.

I finally got to see the log awaited "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" signature Airstream. My first ever headlinging tour has been up and running now for a few weeks and my friends at Junk Gypsy tricked out this awesome vintage Airstream for us. It's my very own rolling bar. I am so excited to get it out on the road next weekend. Check out the pics!

Ok... now time to fess up. Yes the rumors are true! I adopted yet another dog! Blake has a new one too! We are now at six and that's it. For Real!!! He found this black dog on his ranch about two weeks ago and named him Steve. He has a few health problems but we are working on it. He is about 10 months old and the sweetest thing. I guess I have rubbed off on him. Blake even cooked Steve deer steak the other night! Now that's whipped. Then we took one of our friends to the shelter in Ada, OK called PAWS to help him pick out a new member for his family. He found a puppy right away. We were on the way out and the lady at the shelter brought in a tiny yellow dog. I immediately said no no no I cant have another one. Then she said "well someone found her in the dumpster". So I guess we all know who won that battle. I took her to meet her gramdma (Blake's mom) and I asked her if we could share her since I can't always fly with three. She said of course and we named her Cher. I can't tell you how sweet she is. She weighs a pound and has a feisty side. Check out her first few portraits! The only thing is Delta and Delilah are at Mom's and they don't know about her yet. I think they will like having a new sister! It must be something about the ACMs, because this time last year is when I found Delta at Sonic. Jeez... do I have sucker written on my forehead? MuttNation Foundation Rolls On!

Alright I gotta go put makeup on and get ready for my show tonight. Hopefully next time I write I'll have some shiny new ACM awards on my shelf!! Maybe Cher will be my good luck charm. See ya on the road.

Don't forget... Love a Shelter Pet!

ML
